DESCRIPTION:For over a year\, most employers have been managing COVID-related requests as short-term or temporary. With vaccines widely available\, it’s a game-changer. The availability of vaccines now make the majority of COVID-related requests more long-term in nature. What does this shift mean? It means employers focused on returning employees to the workplace can begin managing COVID-related accommodation requests as long-term\, and with it the need to employ a more robust ADA/FEHA interactive process to make long-term reasonable accommodation decisions. Rachel will review the CDC’s guidance regarding “high risk” individuals\, and how to identify if you’re ready to make long-accommodation decisions and if you are\, provide you with the tools to do the work including scripts\, template letters\, medical questionnaires and more.
