Accommodation requests and needs in relation to mental/psychological disabilities are on the rise post COVID. When it comes to reasonable accommodations and mental disabilities most employers will agree situations have become more challenging, especially when related to stress, learning disabilities, working with others, and personality issues. And COVID has added a new layer of complexity. By law, a psychological/mental disability is a disability that employers must address under ADA/ FEHA. In this session, you’ll learn how to coordinate the Disability Interactive Process Hallway for psychological disabilities. You’ll learn about specific solutions when engaged in Reasonable Accommodations discussions with an employee. Because no matter how amazing your HR team is, we can’t do it all the same ways we did before COVID. Reality is dictating that we all have to find compliant ways to do the work, with less time.
